Similar to other reviews, I found the bed very difficult to construct. If you’re buying this bed you need to add a foot all around for access to place the load bearing screws. The base which holds up the mattress is held up by a bunch of screws which, in my opinion, is unnecessary as a single wood support with two screws would do the same job, be safer, and make this bed easier to put together. The bed is made from cheap chipboard with a veneer covering the wood. The bed definitely isn’t worth the current asking price of c.£175.As a guy who enjoys woodwork, the engineering of the bed is really baffling and means I would never buy from this company again.Because the bed didn’t feel safe, I ended up shoring up the bed with structural angle to make sure my kiddo didn’t go through it. Maybe I’m just paranoid but the bed didn’t feel like it would hold her if she bounced (which kids have been known to do).

As with all DIY projects, put aside a few hours and some frayed tempers in the build of this item. Everything you need is included, in heavy boxes, and it is definitely a two person job.The quality of the wood is kind of average for this type of product, and care is needed with screws etc in case of damage. Once built, it looks good. Modern with clean lines. It is for a 10 year old girl , and she absolutely loves it. The fact it has a lot of space for personal items makes it highly desirable, apparently. I wouldn’t expect it to become a family heirloom, but it should certainly keep her happy well into her teens.

This does not have metal supports. It is made entirely of chipboard. Most peices were damaged. Major peices were just missing. There are no real wood steps, again chipboard slats. What a waste of time and money.

This cabin bed from Home Treats is the value end of the cabin bed market, so don’t expect real wood and crafted joints. If you buy this bed with those expectations then the bed itself isn’t bad, it’s not fab either, but certainly do the job required. The bed arrived in four heavy boxes, which need 2 strong people to move. You do need a lot of internals space to build this bed, so be prepared for that. If it is going into a small room then you will need to store the boxes outside the room and bring in the pieces when you need them. The bed comes with fairly decent instructions, which we could make sense of, and tools for construction are included It took us about 2.5 hours to build. Building flat pack is one of my least enjoyable jobs, but all the parts were there, just needed time and patience, as well as a fair amount of dexterity!I do have a niggle about the design of the bed, and that is the steps up to the bed, which are effectively the edge of the shelves, which I don’t think works effectively. It might be OK for smaller children’s feet, but larger and older children you really won’t be able to use the shelves effectively. The quality of the product is OK, but the title and product info is misleading. The beds isn’t made of solid pine wood, it’s mostly chipboard/MDF I reckon, which many similar things are made of these days, but it’s advertised as solid wood, so that needs addressing on the product page. All in all, I suppose you get what you pay for. It’s OK for what it is, but my advice is to invest a bit more for a better quality frame. Three stars from me, as it does the job, just not the quality I had hoped for.

This review is for Home Treats Single Bed Cabin Bed With Storage Drawers & Shelves Wooden Mid Sleeper BedI was really surprised when this arrived, as it came in 4 huge boxes, and they are heavy, once opened I found out why, as this bed is solid, each piece is really well finished, in the box is full instructions on how to put this together, including all the tools you need, you will need at least 2 people to put it together as each piece is solid, and heavy, but the instructions are clear and consise and within 3 hours 3 of us had got this bed together, and I have to say it looks fabulous, the white and pine are a perfect combo and it is large enough to hold a full sized adult, and it is more than sturdy enough to take their weight, the drawers are large enough to store clothing and the shelves are ideal for books or ornaments, I am so chuffed with this cabin bed, and it will outlast the lifetime of my grandchildren.

I really want to write positive things about this, but I’m struggling to justify giving this a good review. The post described the bed as being made from natural materials alluding to it being a better quality than a bed with a metal frame.Unfortunately this is made from quite thin chipboard. I’ve spent hours putting this together so I don’t just want to take it apart again but I don’t think it will have a lifetime of use.It had a few chips I noticed as the pieces came out of the box and there were a couple of missing screw fittings.I was able to solve this by drilling a pilot hole and using a woodscrew to strengthen the join that the fittings were missing for.

This is a lot to put together! Took ages with 2 people. It seems secure and firm once built. Great storage bed idea. Looks nice
